Can I pay my Zakah early?
Asalaamu alaikum Shaykh and Ramadan Mubarak.
I was hoping you could advise me on a zakat query I have.
My annual zakat date is in a couple of weeks, but I was wondering if it is permissable to pay it before then, even though a full lunar year has not elapsed in which I’ve been over the threshold again? I know that I won’t have any incomings between now and then which will affect my calculation, if anything I’ll probably have less, but concious that I haven’t found anything in my zakat course notes that says you can pay it early despite that. So would a couple of weeks affect the condition that you must own the nisab for a full lunar year?
I would be grateful for any advice you can give me on that inshaAllah.

You can pay it in advance based on what you expect the zakat to be on the date.
