Answer
All praise is due to Allah, exalted is He, and peace and blessing be upon His Messenger.
Fasting is accepted if one does not make the recommended duas and supplications. The important thing is to make intention with the heart to fast for the sake of Allah. However, the supplications increase reward and are beneficial. Therefore one should endeavour to memorise them with their meanings or at least say the words in one’s own language. Ramadhan is a time when every Muslim should spend time on recitation and supplication and take preparation for this before the month arrives.
