Dear Supporter of Islamic Education,
Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah (swt), EC is moving forward. We have some important news for you and a special request for support.
New site purchased for Masjid and learning centre (subject to planning)
Al-hamdulillah, in partnership with local community members in the Leyton area we have purchased a building for a new Masjid and learning centre in Leyton. The project still needs planning permission and thus we request your duas. This will increase our ability to educate the community and propagate Islamic knowledge.
Ebrahim College courses are coming to West London
Some brothers in West London are trying to set up Ebrahim College courses in the West London area. Anyone interested from that area, please let us know as we are taking expressions of interest as a feasibility study. West London people please come forward. Possible venue is Brunel Uni or a Masjid in the area.
Ebrahim Academy has been approved by ofsted!
Our Islamic secondary school, Ebrahim Academy, has finally been given ofsted approval. We almost have a full year 7 and year 8 class for 2010/2011. Please make dua for the school’s success.
Ebrahim College is expanding!
We have begun plans to redevelop the Ebrahim College building into a purpose built state of the art learning facility. This is a 3 – 4 year plan to demolish the existing building and build a 7 -8 storey facility. We need your duas and support. Please see below for how you can help right now this Ramadhan.
WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW!
To begin our developmental project we have set up a fund called the 'Ebrahim College development fund'. Before we can even begin the first step of the development, we need 300,000 pounds to consolidate all existing expenses at the College, the Academy and other projects as well as to settle some Qardh Hasan loans to the community and set up a development reserve. We need your help to do this.

The Ebrahim College Team
The New Development Plan will:
- Clear all Qardh hasan debts,
- Purchase the college building.
- Demolish current site and build a state of the art purpose built educational facility up to 8 storeys high.
- Set up permanent revenue sources for Ebrahim College and sister organisations in the form of endowments (waqf).
Remember, phase 1 is to raise 300k so that we can begin the detailed plans. Please help us achieve this first.
Hadrat Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (SAWS) as saying:
Among the actions and good deeds for which a believer will continue to receive reward after his death are knowledge which he taught and spread, a good son whom he left behind, or a copy of the Qur'an which he left as a legacy…" (Ibn Majah and Baihaqi)
Sadaqah Jariyah - the smart and lasting donation .....
Any form of donation or help that you extend to further the course of Islamic education and generation-building is a perpetual donation (sadaqah jariyah). Today you will donate something, helping produce tomorrow's 'ulama and imams and furthering the propagation of knowledge; this donation will be your legacy after you and will continue to benefit you in your grave and then on the day of judgement.
You will share in everything that Ebrahim College accomplishes: the teaching of its teachers, the learning of its students and their services to the deen after they become ulama; all of it will be recorded in your book of deeds.
The Prophet SAW said, 'When the human being dies, his actions dissociate from him except three things: sadaqah jariyah, beneficial knowledge, or a pious child who supplicates for him.' (Sahih Muslim)
