Information for Overseas Applicants

Overseas applicants may only apply to study full time i.e. more than 15 hours per week at Ebrahim College.
Students cannot apply to study A levels or GCSE courses without one of the Islamic studies programmes.* Overseas students applying to study the ISP exclusively must also study GCSE English if they do not already have a pass in it. All other requirements are those mentioned as standard in the prospectus.

Application procedure
- Complete and return the standard application form available inside the prospectus or from the side menu to the left and send it to us with the registration fee of £100 along with the following documents:
- Copies of the certificates of any examinations you have taken, or written and authenticated confirmation of grades awarded if certificates are not yet available;
- Completed letter of academic reference;
- Letter of personal reference from local Imam or Alim;
- Certificate or letter confirming completion of an English language course (including approximate equivalence) if you have not studied English at school, madrasah, college or university.
- The College will contact the applicant after receipt of the application form and above mentioned documents with interview details. (initial interviews will be conducted over the telephone if the student cannot enter the UK without a visa)
- If all requirements are met, the College will send a fee invoice for 1 year's full admission and tuition fees.
- Upon receipt of fees payment the College will make a confirmed offer.
- The applicant will arrange for visa and notify the College of visa status
- If the visa is granted the student will be enrolled at the College. If the visa is not granted the college will refund the fees retaining 10% as administration charges. Proof of refusal of visa will have to be presented. The fees will not be refunded if the visa is granted and the student, having arrived to the UK, does not attend the College.
Accomodation
The college does not currently have facilities for student boarding. Applicants are advised to arrange their own accommodation prior to arrival to the country. If in any difficulty the College may assist applicants in finding accommodation.
Students will also be expected to make arrangements for their own travel and food.
Costs of Living
The following will gives an approximate idea of the cost of studying and living in the UK:
- Travel Expenses: Approximately £20.00 per week*
- Lunch: Approximately £20.00 per week
- Accommodation: Approximately £110.00 per week (1 month’s deposit is required in advance)
- Maintenance: Approximately £70.00 per week
- Books/ course equipment: Approximately £150.00 - £300.00 per year
- Stationery: Approximately £80.00 per year

Course Fees

Prices are per annum per course. Total fee payable per year will be the sum of the prices of individual courses chosen by the applicant.

Islamic Studies
Islamic Studies runs in conjunction with A levels and GCSEs. A level students study the Islamic Sciences Programme (ISP) which comprises GCSE and A level Arabic, and A level Religious Studies.
GCSE students study the 'Intermediate Islamic Studies' course comprising Arabic, Fiqh and Tajweed.
The fee structure for Islamic Studies is as follows:
