Online Lecture

Dear Students,
Assalamu alaikum,
I have some exciting news about the progress we are making in our efforts to make it more and more easier for people to study Islam. I want to inform you about an exciting new development and request your assistance.
For some time now we have been contemplating making our courses available online so students who are away from EC can benefit from our courses and enjoy greater flexibility. We have already initiated some plans with the aim to offer something by the end of 2010 and have been searching for the best possible platform that can make online learning as close to direct learning as possible. We are aiming to offer courses in two methods, live scheduled online courses and non-live anytime courses.
A friend of the college has developed what appears to be an excellent online learning tool enabling students to study under a teacher online with visual, audio, and interactive capabilities. We are now in a position to test the system and need your help.
Our understanding is that the system can handle up to 160 students. We want to test the system with this maximum number. We are thus moving this season’s tarbiyah session to the online platform and would like you all to register for it. Please visit http://174.37.194.116/EduWorld/ and register yourself by entering the information requested. On the day, you will simply need to log on and participate in the lecture. You will be able to see the lecturer, ask questions and even follow a presentation. An attempt will be made to test every aspect of the system, inshaAllah, without compromising the substance of the lecture.
Please, please participate in this so that we can fully test the system and launch online courses soon. We need 160 participants. Remember that this is a test, so if anything goes wrong, be patient and have your feedback ready.
We want to give first choice to students and will wait for you all to register by the close of Friday 23 rd July. After that we will open up to non-students.

In order for our current students to take advantage of our discounts please register your place at least 3 weeks before the season starts.
Failure to do so will mean you pay for the full amount and you do not qualify for the discounts as well.
