Course Overview
This course explores Imam ʿAbdallah al-Ḥaddād’s The Book of Assistance, a timeless manual for spiritual refinement and ethical living rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Written for seekers on the path to Allah, the text systematically guides students through the principles of faith, purification of the soul, and practical spirituality.
Participants will learn how to harmonise outward actions and inward states, cultivate sincerity, patience, reliance, and love of God, and navigate the spiritual path with balance and discipline.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand the key concepts of tazkiyah (self-purification) and tasawwuf (spiritual refinement) as taught by Imam al-Haddad.
- Identify the core practices of a Muslim seeker striving for nearness to Allah.
- Reflect on and implement the ethical and devotional guidance in their daily lives.
Duration: 10 weeks – 2 hours each lesson

Course Delivery
This course will be delivered using an online live streaming platform called ‘Zoom’. Lessons will be recorded and students provided access to them. Further details will be emailed to students 5 days before the course commences insha Allah.
