We all lead different lives. We do not all experience the same things in life. But there is one event that will definitely take place in everyone’s life – death.

Every Muslim striving to practice Islam correctly and looking to increase his/her attachment to the Hereafter. The course will help you give your loved ones the final farewell according the Sunnah of the beloved Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

 

  • A detailed knowledge of how to benefit the dead after they have left us.
  • An understanding of related innovations that we need avoid related Janazah, burials & the Grave.
  • Comprehend the multifaceted Fiqh rulings surrounding funeral rites (including: washing and shrouding the body, and Janāzah practices) within the context of the Sunnah of our beloved messenger ﷺ.
  • Know the etiquettes of visiting the graves, the Sunnah of visiting the sick, and the offering condolences to people who have lost their loved ones.
  • Ensure that you honour those who have passed away by identifying and embracing the various Sunnah practices concerning death.

 

Shaykh Mujahid Ali

Shaykh Mujahid Ali came to England at a young age and was brought up in the North of England. During his teens he started his Islamic studies at the Institute of Islamic Education in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire where he studied the Islamic sciences according to the Dars Nizami curriculum.

In 2002 he completed his hadith studies under Shaykhul Hadith Mufti Muslihuddin, Shaykh Yusuf Darwan, Shaykh Mufti Musa Badat and Shaykh Abul Qasim, from whom he received ijazah. He then travelled to Syria for further studies in Hadith under several mashayikh (scholars) such as Shaykh Mohammad Asa’d Saeed As-Sagarji Ad- Dimashqi, and also studied advanced Arabic at Ma’had al-Lugah a branch of  Damascus University.

Since 2004 the Shaykh has been a teacher at Ebrahim College. Whilst teaching both these subjects he has compiled an anthology of Arabic literature as a literature textbook, and written a commentary on al-Muqaddamah al-Jazariyyah in tajweed, both of which will soon be published. He is currently the Head of Arabic Language at EC. The Shaykh also has ijaazah in al-Qira’aatal-Sab’ from the Institute of Islamic Education, Dewsbury. He is also one of the judges for the National Qira’at competition.

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ismail Bhuta

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ismail Bhuta was born into a scholarly family in West Sussex, UK. He grew up in London under the guidance of his father, Shaykh Ismail Bhuta and his elder brother Shaykh Abdul Mateen. He started learning Islam at a young age. After completing his secondary school education and basic Islamic studies he travelled to South Africa and enrolled at the distinguished Islamic seminary, Dar al-Uloom Azaadville, Johannesburg, where he undertook a six year Intensive study of various traditional Islamic Sciences.

He graduated with distinction having received authorisations in various books including the six major collections of Hadith. After returning to the UK he travelled to Syria and furthered his knowledge and experience by benefiting from the academic lectures of many scholars there.

Brother Mohamed Omer

Mohamed is a Finance Director for Intellicomms Solutions Ltd – A software solutions company. He is also a Director of Global Energy and Commodities Trading Ltd – Providing consultancy for emerging markets.

He is currently involved with various charities: Board member – External Affairs, Gardens of Peace Muslim Cemetery, based in Hainault Essex. This is the largest dedicated Muslim Cemetery in Europe and has a capacity for 10,000 graves and burials in accordance with Islamic Shariah. Director of Muslim Bereavement Support Service . He also represents the Muslim Community on the Burial Cremation Advisory Group at the Ministry of Justice.

He is a trustee of The Social Enterprise Loan Fund – an organisation funding Social Enterprises that are not able to obtain funding from banks. He is also a Muslim representative on the Burial Cremation and Advisory Group at the Ministry of Justice. Mohamed has been actively involved with community work in East London for the last 15 years. He was a past trustee of SANDS.
