Towards the end of the academic year 2018 – 2019, the College began to experience severe financial difficulties, which led to a proposal to cease operations in order concentrate on managing the problems that had been building for several years.
When this proposal became known, there was a strong reaction from all stakeholders to the effect that Ebrahim College was too important a project to be allowed to end.
Encouraged by this outpouring of support, the teachers and staff made a commitment to do everything possible to continue operations from September 2019 and we are very happy to be able to report that classes, both full- and part-time, have begun again, al hamdulillah.
The Trustees are in the process of negotiating new partnerships which will help to manage College finances on a renewed basis inshallah.
With the help of Allah, and the continued support of the community and our dedicated staff, we intend to rebuild our operation in Whitechapel, laying the basis for a fully sustainable College which may continue to serve the needs of the Ummah for many years to come.
