In this course you will learn:

• Linguistic features of Juz’ Amma
• This historical context of revelation of these surahs
• Personal development lessons from the Qur’an

Course content and overview:

• The Arabs in ancient Arabic were shaken by the linguistic and miraculous power of the Qur’an. For this reason, the Qur’an was seen as the greatest miracle of the Prophet Mohammed (Allah bless him and give him peace)
• The course will give students the tools to unpack the miraculous nature of the Juz’ Amma by looking at the  of the structure, themes and guidance contained in each surah of the Juz’.
• The course will build on historical knowledge and present key rational arguments which are found in this Juz’
• We will also be discussing some of the linguistic and stylistic devices used in the Qur’an, and some of the problems with translation and having alternative plausible interpretations.

• Term 1 (starts 09 October 2025) – 10 weeks. From Surah Naas till Surah Zalzalah

No prior learning or knowledge required
