Course Overview
This course will be based on some of the key lessons and advices from Shaykh Hamza Yusuf’s book ‘Purification of the Heart: Signs, Symptoms and Cures of the Spiritual Diseases of the Heart’.
It will explore the importance of Tazkiyah Al-Nafs (Purification of the self) and how incumbent it is to purge oneself of their inner vices such as miserliness, envy, hatred, malice, ostentation, arrogance as well as many others. These diseases can cause a believer to lose control of themselves and fall under the thrall of their desires and inner vices.
Using the book as a guideline, some discussion will follow as to how a believer can best learn the signs of the diseases of the heart and how one can equip themselves to cure and treat themselves of these symptoms.

Course Delivery
This course will be delivered using an online live streaming platform called ‘Zoom’. Lessons will be recorded and students provided access to them. Further details will be emailed to students 5 days before the course commences insha Allah.
