Reports to: Programme Manager

Salary: £25 – £30 (Based on experience and qualifications)

Contract: Sessional

Hours of work: Up to 6 hours on Saturdays during term and holiday periods

Summary 

Our Tutors will support the college in delivering private tuition at our new site in Stratford (E15 4QZ). Reporting to the Programme Manager, Tutors will plan and deliver sessions in Maths and English separately for both secondary and primary students. The tuition programme will operate on Saturdays with session availability in the mornings and afternoons.  

Responsibilities  

• Teach mixed ability pupils in small group sessions 
• Deliver student-centred teaching  
• Provide feedback to students and parents 
• Establish good working relationships with pupils 
• Use plans and resources effectively 
• Monitor student progress 
• Available to deliver sessions on Saturdays (up to 6 hours available) 
• £25-30 per hour  

Qualifications 

• Degree or Qualified Teacher Status (preferred) 
• Experience of class teaching/tutoring 
• High level of English, both spoken and written. 
• Willing to undertake a DBS check 
• IT literate
